DEF LEPPARD Singer Already Prepping For Summer Tour
May 3, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: DEF LEPPARD will hit the road this June for a tour of minor league baseball stadiums with BRYAN ADAMS. Frontman Joe Elliott told Launch that he's already in training, working on both his body and his voice to prepare for a summer of singing. "I've seen a lot of people start a tour out, and then three days into the tour have to cancel at least a couple of gigs 'cause they've blown their voice out," he said. "So what I try and do is make the first gig we do actually the 20th that my body's done, and I have my blowout 17 days before the tour starts. It's a muscle. You've just got to stretch it and get it into shape."
The DEF LEPPARD/BRYAN ADAMS tour kicks off on June 1 in Portland, Oregon. DEF LEPPARD will play several shows of its own during the summer, as well as the dates with ADAMS.
DEF LEPPARD releases a new compilation called "Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection" on May 17. It features a cover of BADFINGER's "No Matter What", which will be released as a single.
